Knock on Wood Ribbon
■ Harvest a certain amount of trees.
This ribbon is self-explanatory. You must harvest trees to earn this ribbon. It doesn’t matter what type of tree you harvest, any type of tree will count toward this ribbon. The only type of tree that won’t count is a decorative tree, because they cannot be harvested.
If you want to earn this ribbon quickly, you’ll need to have a lot of trees on your farm. If you have more 2 day trees on your farm, you will be able to harvest them quicker than 4 or 5 day crops, thus letting you earn this ribbon more quickly, too.
You can ask for Free Gift trees from your friends, purchase trees from the market, claim trees and seedlings off the newsfeed, and so much more. There are so many ways to get trees in Farmville.
Orchards count toward this ribbon as well. All trees that you place in orchards will become ready to harvest in 2 days. 4 and 5 day crops can be harvested much quicker in orchards.

Tree Hugger Ribbon
■ Harvest from a certain amount of ‘unique’ trees.
‘Unique’ trees means different types of trees. This ribbon requires you to harvest a specific amount of different types of trees to earn ribbons. There used to only be a small amount of trees to choose from in Farmville, but with the introduction of Orchards into the game, there are now loads of trees that count toward this ribbon.
This is no longer a hard ribbon to master. Now it is very simple.
If you want to master this ribbon quickly, first purchase every type of tree in the market that costs coins. These trees are currently: ‘Apple’, ‘Cherry’, ‘Peach’, ‘Orange’, ‘Lime’, ‘Lemon’, and ‘Plum’. Place all 7 trees on your farm.
Next, ask your friends to send you one of each type of Free Gift tree. You can ask different neighbors for different trees. Remember, you only need one of each for this ribbon. You can also ‘Make a Wish’ for a specific tree by going to your gift box and clicking ‘Make a Wish’. There are 14 trees that can be obtained through Free Gifts. They are: ‘Breadfruit’, ‘Cashew’, ‘Guava’, ‘Jackfruit’, ‘Red Maple’, ‘Yellow Maple’, ‘Gulhomar’, ‘Banana’, ‘Tamarind’, ‘Date’, ‘Olive’, ‘Mango’, ‘Ginko’, and ‘Walnut’. Do not bother asking for ‘Mangrove’, ‘Magnolia’, or ‘Jacaranda’. They are decorations and do not count as ‘trees’.
You only need to have a total of 15 different types of trees to earn this ribbon. Each time you harvest once from each of these different types of trees, you will earn a credit toward this ribbon.
You will receive a different type of tree with every ribbon you earn for Tree Hugger. You can place these trees on your farm as soon as you get them in your gift box.
