Farmville Mystery Seedlings
Mystery Seedlings come from orchards. You can find them from your own orchards, on your Facebook newsfeed, or on your friends’ profiles
Mystery Seedlings will produce ‘Level 2 Trees’, offspring of a ‘Level 1 Tree’. Level 2’s are relatives of Level 1’s and have some connection and similaries to them.
Sometimes they will be ‘Giant’ versions of the Level 1’s. Sometimes they will be a different color. And sometimes they will be a completely different type of tree, but have some relative features.
*Note: when you find a mystery seedling instead of growing it yourself, the type of tree it will grow into can be a complete mystery.
Here are some examples:
Giants: Level 1 ‘Rainbow’ Tree produces a Level 2 ‘Giant Rainbow’ Tree seedling
Different Colors: Level 1 ‘Red Maple’ Tree produces a Level 2 ‘Silver Maple’ Tree Seedling
Different Trees: Level 1 ‘Damson’ Tree produces a Level 2 ‘Crab Apple’ Tree Seedling

Level 2 Trees that are placed in orchards will produce Level 2 seedlings. For example, if you have an orchard full of ‘Granny Smith Apple’ trees, your mystery seedling will grow into a ‘Granny Smith Apple’ tree.
If you have an orchard full of a number of different trees, a Level 2 tree related to one of those trees will be received.
Getting Watering Cans
Watering cans are needed to grow seedlings into fully grown trees. You need 8 watering cans per seedling. This number has dropped by 2 watering cans from the original 10 watering cans needed.
You can get watering cans from a number of places:
• As a Free Gift
• From the newsfeed or friends’ profiles
• When you harvest your orchards
• You can ask friends for watering cans when you place a seedling
• From a Special Delivery Box
• ‘Make a Wish’ for a watering can when you are in your gift box
Growing Your Seedling
Once you have a seedling, you can place it on your farm. You will have the option to ask friends for watering cans to help your seedling grow. You’ll need 8 watering cans to grow a seedling. Once you have the 8 watering cans, go to your gift box and select ‘use’ under the picture of the watering can. You can also start growing your seedling with less than 8 watering cans and ask for help along the way as it starts to grow.
To use your watering cans, simply click ‘use’ under the watering can picture in your gift box. Then, click on your mystery seedling 8 times. Your seedling will become a tree after the 8th click.
When you first place your seedling on your farm you will be prompted to ask your friends for watering cans. After you use 4 watering cans on a single seedling, you will then be prompted to share watering cans with your friends. This is good for both you and your friends.
• Your friends will be able to see that you are making progress on growing your seedling. They will receive watering cans and they’ll also know that a fully grown tree will soon be posted to the newsfeed, which they can try to claim.
• You, on the other hand, will receive watering cans from your friends. Even if you have a bunch of watering cans now, it is still smart to stock up for the next seedling. You’d be surprised how fast watering cans get used up when you need 8 per seedling.
Seedlings will grow larger and larger as you use more and more watering cans on them. After your seedling is completely watered, a window will pop up showing you which type of tree your seedling has grown into. You will then be prompted to share a tree of the same kind with your friends. You can click here to learn how to send this tree to a specific friend or neighbor. Or, if you just want to share it to the newsfeed, click ‘share’ and ‘publish’. Only one of your friends will be able to claim this tree either way. Your new tree can be found in your gift box right away. It can be placed on your farm to start generating coins and earning mastery credits.
What will my seedling grow into?
If you have all Level 1 trees of the same type in an orchard, you will receive a Level 2 tree offspring seedling. For example, an orchard filled with Cherry Trees will produce a Rainier Cherry Tree seedling.
If you have all Level 2 trees of the same type in an orchard, you will receive the same Level 2 tree seedling. For example, an orchard filled with Level 2 Rainier Cherry Trees will produce a Rainier Cherry Tree seedling.
If you have a mix of parent/offspring Level 1 and Level 2 trees in an orchard, you will receive the relative Level 2 Tree. For example, if you have an orchard filled with a mix of Cherry and Rainier Cherry Trees, you will receive a Rainier Cherry Tree seedling.
If you have a mix of two or more different unrelated types of trees, you will receive a Level 2 tree relative to one of the trees from that orchard.
If you claimed a seedling off the newsfeed or from a friend’s profile, your seedling can grow into any type of Level 2 tree.
