Farmville Seed and Crop Ribbons

Cream of the Crop Ribbon

■ You must harvest a certain amount of seeds (any kind).

This is a pretty straightforward ribbon: Plant your crops and harvest them. It doesn’t matter what type of crop you harvest, you just have to harvest a certain amount. This yellow ribbon will be one of the first ribbons you achieve in Farmville. The larger the area you have for growing crops, the faster you will be able to earn the blue ribbon.

Try planting crops with short harvest times to complete this ribbon more quickly. You can harvest 2-, 4-, and 6-hour crops many times a day. Let’s say you only have 300 plots for crops. If you harvest Strawberries (4 hours) 4 times a day, you will get 1200 crop credits toward this ribbon. You’ll also be able to achieve the yellow and white ribbon in the same day.

This ribbon is most typically earned in the beginning of the game.

Tip: Plant flower seeds to earn credit toward this and other ribbons. Also make sure you have a garden shed on your farm before growing Flowers.

Ribbon Breakdown
Ribbon – Requirement – Reward
Yellow Harvest 10 Crops 500 coin reward + 25 XP
White Harvest 1,000 Crops 2,500 coin reward + 50 XP
Red Harvest 5,000 Crops 5,000 coin reward + 100 XP
Blue Harvest 25,000 Crops 10,000 coin reward + 250 XP

Green Thumb Ribbon

■ Harvest a certain number of unique crops.

This is also quite a straightforward ribbon. Instead of harvesting a certain number of any crops, for this ribbon you must harvest a certain number of different crops. For example, with the Cream of the Crop Ribbon, you can continuously harvest the same crop and earn the ribbon. With the Green Thumb Ribbon, you must harvest from different crops, such as Strawberries, Eggplants, Soybeans, Cotton, Potatoes, Asparagus, etc. Whenever you harvest a different type of crop, you will gain credit toward this ribbon.

To earn this ribbon faster, try growing crops with short harvest times such as Strawberrys, Raspberries, Blueberries, Aloe, etc. When you grow these types of crops, you can harvest them in less time and plant different crops much quicker.

Tip: Plant flower seeds to earn credits toward this and other ribbons. Also make sure you have a garden shed on your farm before growing Flowers.

Ribbon Breakdown
Ribbon – Requirement – Reward
Yellow 5 Unique Crops 1,000 coin reward + 10 XP
White 10 Unique Crops 2,500 coin reward + 20 XP
Red 14 Unique Crops 5,000 coin reward + 50 XP
Blue 17 Unique Crops 10,000 coin reward + 100 XP

Crop Whisperer Ribbon

■ Fertilize your neighbors’ crops.
To do this, go to your neighbor bar below your farm. Click on one of your neighbor’s pictures and select ‘visit/help’ to go to your neighbor’s farm. Use all of your 5 daily actions for fertilizing their crops.

*Note: This ribbon interconnects with the ‘Good Samaritan’ ribbon in which you visit and help your neighbors’ farms. If you use your 5 daily actions to only fertilize crops, you will receive credits for both ribbons. However, if your neighbor has used a ‘fertilize all’ or they have no plots that can be fertilized, try to harvest or help something else so you can at least receive credit for the ‘Good Samaritan’ award.

Ribbon Breakdown
Ribbon – Requirement – Reward
Yellow 100 Neighbor Crops 1,000 coin reward + 25 XP
White 250 Neighbor Crops 2,500 coin reward + 50 XP
Red 500 Neighbor Crops 5,000 coin reward + 100 XP
Blue 2,500 Neighbor Crops 10,000 coin reward + 200 XP

Flower Power Ribbon

■ Harvest a certain number of flower crops.
You can harvest any type of flower to earn this ribbon. Flower seeds can be bought in the Market.

By planting flowers, you can also earn credit toward other types of ribbons, such as the Green Thumb and Cream of the Crop.

Another ribbon that also requires flowers to be grown is the Pretty Garden Ribbon (placing a certain amount of flower bouquets on your farm).

Tip: Make sure you have a Garden Shed (available in the Market) before you harvest any flowers. This will save you time in earning the Pretty Garden Ribbon. Whenever you harvest flowers, you receive bouquets that you can place on your farm and share with friends. But, you must have a garden shed to store the bouquets.

Ribbon Breakdown
Ribbon – Requirement – Reward
Yellow 15 Flowers 500 coin reward + 25 XP
White 500 Flowers 2,000 coin reward + 50 XP
Red 2,500 Flowers 5,000 coin reward + 75 XP
Blue 10,000 Flowers 10,000 coin reward + 100 XP

Pretty Garden Ribbon

■ Place a certain amount of bouquets on your farm.
You can get ‘Bouquets’ two ways in Farmville:

1. Growing your own flowers on your farm
2. Getting bouquets from your neighbors off the newsfeed

Growing your own flowers
If you want to earn this ribbon the fast way, you will grow your own flowers to find ‘Perfect Bunches’, which are ‘Bouquets’. Before you start growing any flowers, you must buy a Garden Shed in the Market for xx coins. The garden shed will let you store your bouquets. Without a garden shed, you won’t be able to have anywhere to store them. Another great feature of the Garden Shed is that you automatically receive 10 bouquets upon purchasing it. When you place those 10 bouquets on your farm you will receive the yellow and white ribbon. Simple.

As you harvest flowers, bouquets will be stored in your Garden Shed. You will also be prompted to share the bouquets with your neighbors.

Getting bouquets from your neighbors off the newsfeed
If you don’t have a Garden Shed or don’t plant many flowers, you can still get bouquets off from the newsfeed and your neighbors’ profiles. Once you claim these bouquets, they will be placed in your giftbox. You can then place them on your farm.

Tips: To speed things up, you can get bouquets ways – growing and claiming. Unlike other ribbons, you do not need to have all of your bouquets on your farm at one time. Bouquets will last two weeks on your farm, but if you want to get rid of them earlier, you can delete them.

Ribbon Breakdown
Ribbon Requirement Reward
Yellow 5 Bouquets 25 XP + daffodil bouquet
White 10 Bouquets 50 XP + red tulip bouquet
Red 25 Bouquets 100 XP + pink roses bouquet
Blue 50 bouquets 250 XP + sunflower bouquet

King of Compost Ribbon

■ Harvest a certain number of fertilized crops.
To earn this ribbon, you must harvest fertilized crops. Crops can either be fertilized by your neighbors or through the consumable ‘Fertlize All’, which fertilizes all the crops or plowed plots on your field.

If you would like to get more neighbors to fertilize your crops, you can try one of the following strategies:

• Visit your neighbors’ farms and maybe they’ll return the favor and visit yours

• Ask your neighbors for help. Be honest. Tell them you are trying to get a ribbon and would like their help. Maybe give them an incentive to come, like an extra gift or other item. Remember, your neighbors will have to fertilize other players’ crops to earn the ‘Good Samaritan’ ribbon, as well.

• Sometimes when your neighbors visit your farm they will find Fertilize All’s. If they share these with you, they will be posted to your profile.

• After you finish seeding your farm, a message will appear prompting you to ask your neighbors to fertilize your crops. If you post this message to your profile and newsfeed, you will most likely get some more help.

If you would like to get more ‘Fertilize All’s, try one of these strategies:

• Visit your neighbors’ farms. Sometimes you will be rewarded with a Fertilize All and be able to share it with your neighbors.

• On occasion, Fertilize All’s will be available as a free gift. Send a gift to your friends and ask for a Fertilize All in return.

• When you harvest your beehive, you have the chance of finding a Fertilize All (which you also need to find for the Bountiful Beekeeper ribbon). Your beehive generally needs to be full with 200 bees, but beehives with fewer bees have also been known to reward Fertilize All’s to farmers.

• You can find Fertilze All’s on your Facebook newsfeed when your neighbors share them.

• You can buy Fertlize All’s in the Market for 7 Farm Cash Each.
