FAQ’s and Answers About Neighbors in Farmville
We all have questions in Farmville that we don’t know the answers to.
No one knows everything but it is helpful to be able to come some where to get your questions answered. We’ve compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions from the Successful Players Facebook group and from website visitors. This list is frequently updated. If you have a question, you can post it in the comment box below to get an answer. What is a neighbor?
A neighbor is a farmer’s friend in Farmville. They will help you with most aspects of the game. They can also do more than your Farmville friends. You can visit their farms, receive help from them, send them gifts, and receive gifts from them.
Why do I need neighbors?
You need neighbors to do most things in Farmville if you don’t want to spend Farm Cash for every single part of the game. Neighbors will help you with requests by sending you your ‘wishes’ and other items you post to the newsfeed. They will help you with barnraisings and fertilizing your crops. You can get bonuses and rewards from them in the newsfeed. You can exchange gifts with them and you need them to expand your farm with coins instead of Farm Cash. They’ll buy your goods and you can buy theirs to exchange for fuel. They will also be the players you can complete co-ops with. Neighbors have many purposes in Farmville. These reasons just touch onto a few of them.
Where can I find more loyal neighbors to play Farmville with?
Two of the easiest places to find great, loyal neighbors is in our Successful Players Facebook Group and in our Neighbor Adding Forum. Either one of these places will offer you wonderful neighbors to choose from. Also, if you have some good neighbors already, you can ask them to suggest some of their good neighbors to you on Facebook.
Why do some people want to be Farmville friends but not neighbors?
This has been a long-debated subject. Some player agree with becoming just friends and some oppose it all together. Which viewpoint you choose is a matter of personal preference.
Some people will request to be friends instead of neighbors because they already have the maximum amount of neighbors (300) already. Everyone has their own reason but this is a popular one. Especially if they are looking just to exchange gifts and claim items from the newsfeed. But remember that this is not such a bad thing. Not only can they claim items from you, you can also claim items from them. It works both ways.
Some people might want to become neighbors but something might be stopping them. Some players have been reporting issues with receiving neighbor requests. Sometimes the requests disappear and the person may not have gotten it. Another reason might be that they can’t send out a neighbor request because they are receiving the message that they have already used up the maximum amount of requests per day. If you want to know the reason for a specific neighbor, just ask!
How many neighbors can I have?
You can have up to 300. If you find that some are inactive or do not play Farmville anymore, you can replace them with active and better players.
Why doesn’t my neighbor send me gifts or help me?
Everyone has a different reason. They might have used their daily limit of requests. They may also only be sending gifts only to ‘Suggested Friends’ which you might not be included in. They might not have the time or be on the newsfeed when you post a request. They also might not receive your requests in their gift page when they go on their farm and they don’t utilize their ‘Game Requests’ page on Facebook. Maybe they are busy with work, family, friends, and life. Whatever the reason may be, if you really want to know, you can always ask.
Why hasn’t my friend accepted my neighbor request?
They might not have gotten it or they may not know you sent it. A glitch in the game may have caused it to get lost in cyber space. They also might have their maximum amount of neighbors. Perhaps they ignored it, too. Again, there are many different answers for this question. If you want to know, just ask.
Why does my farm go ‘Out of Sync’ (OOS)?
A farm can go out of sync for a number of reasons, but the one sure reason that I have found is this – Whenever I am doing something on my farm and it goes OOS, after I refresh the page, a new avatar is one my farm. So, if a neighbor decides to visit your farm while you are on it, you may get the OOS message. Also, if you are doing something on your farm fast, such as plowing/harvesting/seeding crops, deleting things, or moving items, the game may not be able to keep up with you. When it gets off track, it will tell you to refresh so it can sync back up with you.
